Established in 2020, Staccato Bakery was originally a purely word-of-mouth operation, providing treats for everything from family gatherings to corporate parties, weddings, and fundraiser events. In fact, baking cookies started as a side business; Saleem (the founder, AKA ‘And2’) initially offered cookies as an upsell through his DJ/Event production company. A DJ by trade, the name ‘Staccato’ was a nod to his love for music - and a line quoted from a Mos Def song - and the fact that in sheet music notation, a staccato is a dot (which also resembles a cookie)!

Over the years, our "in the know" fans steadly grew and fell in love with our products - starting with our original peanut butter chocolate chip creation - while helping us expand on our offerings. In 2024, no longer content with being NYC's best kept secret, Staccato Bakery formally introduced itself to the general public, looking to share our love of baking (and music) with the people!
